Accessibility Standards for Customer Service

Ontario Regulation 429/07, made under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), came into effect on January 1, 2008. This regulation introduced accessibility standards for customer service, which became mandatory for designated public sector organizations by January 1, 2010, and for all other providers of goods and services by January 1, 2012.

The Mayor and Council of the Township of Red Rock adopted the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service Policy on February 18, 2009, in accordance with the AODA requirements. The policy was amended in 2016.
