Registration Deadline
Participants can register online until Friday, August 8 at 12 noon, by printing the registration form and mailing or e-mailing it to the Township, or by registering at the Municipal Office and paying by cash, cheque, debit, or credit until August 7 at 4:30 pm. Please ensure cheques are made out to The Township of Red Rock, with Paju Mountain Run in the memo line. Same-day registration will be accepted at the race kit pick-up location payable by cash, cheque, debit, or credit at the Royal Canadian Legion 41 Salls Street Red Rock.
The Early Bird Draw will be July 2 after 5 pm and announced as part of Red Rock’s Canada Day Celebrations – The Early Bird Draw will be two weekend passes to Live from the Rock Folk Festival and a free participant t-shirt to this year’s race.
Race kits can be picked up between 7:30 am and 8:15 am in the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, 41 Salls Street, Red Rock (upstairs) on race day, August 9th, 2025.
Awards
Awards will be presented to the overall top three finishers of the race, the top three finishers in each division for the individual competition, the overall top male and top female, and the top local male and female. The awards ceremony will take place at the Red Rock Legion, 41 Salls Street in Red Rock. The ceremony will begin at 11:30 am after all the participants are off the race course. There will be draws for remaining prizes for participants who have not already won a prize. The winner must be in attendance to collect their prize for the additional participant draws. The non-competitive participants will be eligible for a draw prize.

Course
The course is 12km in length. The start/finish line is on lower Brompton Road in front of the Recreation Centre, 39 Brompton Road. The course takes the participants out to White Blvd, up Newton Street and out the Escape Road. The Escape Road is a gravel surface. It will cross a bridge, rail road tracks and Hwy 628; the climb begins when the participants pass the old Paju house. The climb to the top of Paju Mountain is approximately 715 ft. The participants are guided around the water station and back down the mountain, through town to the finish.

The race requires 50 volunteers annually to ensure that the event is successful. Each volunteer is invited to join the participants for the luncheon at the Red Rock Legion and receives a Paju Mountain Run T-shirt.

The Township of Red Rock hosted the 41st Paju Mountain Run on Saturday, August 10th, 2024.
The Paju Mountain Run is a 12km run which tours takes participants around the community of Red Rock, up a 715 ft up the Paju Mountain and back down again. This event brings participants from across the North Shore, and this year we even had a participant from as far east as Nova Scotia and as far west as Alberta!
31 volunteers to help make the event possible along with help from the OPP Auxiliary helped with traffic at Hwy 628 crossing and the Red Rock Public Works Department.
The Legion Ladies Auxiliary provided participants and volunteers with a delicious lunch and Sweet Treats and More made a delicious cake celebrating 41 years of the Paju.
This year there were 49 participants – 45 runners in the competitive race and 4 participants in the non-competitive race.
