The Township of Red Rock is submitting an entry to the Munisoft Community Project Initiative. This initiative is a draw process in which communities submit a project to be entered into the draw for a chance to win $3,000.00 towards a community project to be completed in 2023. The winner is announced on January 27, 2023.
Through the purchase of new and upgraded sporting equipment the Township of Red Rock will be able to provide new opportunities for physical activity throughout the community for residents and visitors of all ages.
Disc Golf has increased in popularity and through the purchase of disc sets and baskets, a course will be installed at our waterfront with the discs available to sign out for those who do not have a set of their own. This will serve to introduce both residents and visitors alike to an activity they may not have known about otherwise, while encouraging a safe, socially distanced outdoor activity.
Remaining funds will go towards the purchase of new sporting equipment such as basket balls, volleyballs, pickle ball paddles and balls etc.
